The Sun-Times reports Chicago is about to get its first cider house. Eris Brewery & Cider House will open at 4240 W. Irving Park, just west of the Kennedy. The Times says Eris will have six house ciders and six house beers, all created by head brewer Hayley Shine.

If you’ve never given cider much attention, you’re not alone. Shine tells the Sun-Times, “There’s a lot to do on education.”
