Science says bass players are the most important part of the band

Bass players may not be getting the respect they deserve. It seems like the spotlight is always on the lead singer or lead guitarist. But science is saying it’s easier for our brains to follow rhythm at lower tones. According to the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, we also have an easier time detecting pitch changes from the lower tones produced by a bass guitar.
