What is it with Ozzy and bats? Everyone knows about the infamous night in 1982 when the Prince of Darkness "accidentally" bit the head off a bat while performing in Des Moines, Iowa. Now, Ozzy has been hit with a $27,400 bill to get rid of a colony of bats that have taken up residence on his property in Buckinghamshire, England.
Osbourne was about to convert a barn into an apartment when the bats were discovered. Bats are protected in the U.K. and studies were ordered to humanely remove the creatures before the local council would approve the construction. Failure to comply would have meant a $7,600 fine and six months in jail.
In any case, 27 thousand bucks is probably a lot let painful than those rabies shots he got after the Des Moines incident.
