Lars Ulrich of Metallica photographed his wife, model Jessica Miller, for the launch of a new denim line “inspired by the heavy metal scene of the ’80s and early ’90s.”
The line, which is available at CitizensOfHumanity.com and MyTheresa.com, includes a sleeveless black denim trucker vest and three “concert-ready” jean styles. Prices run from $400 to $535. Ulrich tells Vogue, “I’ve always been interested in photography, and when we [Metallica] work with all of these wonderful photographers, I’ve always been interested in watching them. I’m interested in composition and backgrounds, in photography as a medium.”
Ulrich adds he’s got some experience taking photos for people with fashion minds. “When the agency calls and says, ‘Could Jess send a couple of Polaroids of how she looks this week,’ I’m the one who takes those pictures of her.”
