Former Dire Straits mastermind Mark Knopfler will hit the road for a 36-city North American Tour that will bring him to the Chicago Theatre on October 2nd.
Fans that purchase tickets to ‘An Evening with Mark Knopfler and Band’ online will receive a physical copy of his new album Tracker for each pair of tickets purchased. Fan club presales begin January 27. Public on sales begin January 30.
Knopfler said in a statement, "Part of the fun is thinking what you might have a go at, for a new tour. For me, that’s part of the joy of it, getting that little crew together again, and setting sail once again. It’s a real adventure,"
Knopfler, a four-time Grammy Award winner, was ranked 27th on Rolling Stone magazine's list of 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time and holds three honorary doctorate degrees in music from universities in the United Kingdom.
