Jimmy Page says he’s ‘warming up’ to go on the road

Good news for Led Zeppelin fans – Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page says that he's 'warming up' to tour again. Speaking at the West London launch of the 40th anniversary deluxe reissue for Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti, Page said he was making steady progress on a return to the stage.

Last year saw some contentious quotes between Page and Robert Plant about a potential Led Zep reunion.  Page seemed flustered with Plant, who was determined to do his own thing and Plant eventually became 'fed up' with the whole idea.

Now, Page confirmed rumors that he is planning to go out on his own.

"How it starts off is, you have to play guitar and get match-fit first," Page told Rolling Stone during a public Q&A. "So currently I'm in the process of doing that – but I'm also in the process of doing this [reissue series] too. It'll be closer to the end of the year rather than next month. I'm definitely warming up on the touchlines!"

"What I'm doing is something that's going to be quite different," he added. "It wouldn't be anything that hopefully you'd imagine I would do."
