Def Leppard is hitting the road this summer and bringing Styx and Tesla with them. The tour will make its way to Chicago on September 5th in the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre.
In making the announcement, Joe Elliott commented, "We've toured with both of these bands before. Styx we toured with, I think, about six years ago. Great bunch of guys and obviously American apple pie, aren't they? Mom's apple pie all the way through. And we had Tesla on board when we did the 'Hysteria' tour back in '87…We've always been keen on taking a band out that people know…It has always worked for us…I think it's a great package. I think it's exciting."
Citi cardmembers will have access to pre-sale tickets beginning Wednesday, February 18 at 12 p.m. through Citi's Private Pass Program. General tickets for the tour go on sale starting Friday, February 20 at 10 a.m. on LiveNation.com.
Def Leppard has also been working on new material, but Elliott says the album probably won't be out until later this year.
