Watch Bruce Springsteen fill in for Bono at U2 concert

U2 performed without frontman Bono during Monday's World AIDS Day (RED) show in Times Square, but the band recruited Bruce Springsteen to fill in on U2's "Where The Streets Have No Name" and "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For."

Bono is still recovering from what his surgeon called a "high-energy bicycle accident" in Central Park last month. Bono sustained a facial fracture on his eye socket as well as fractures on his left shoulder blade, left arm and left hand.

"I want to send this one out to Bono … be well, my friend I want to send this one out to Bono … be well, my friend," Springsteen yelled after performing "Where the Streets Have No Name" and before launching into his second U2 song, "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For."

For this show, the band — Adam Clayton, The Edge and Larry Mullen Jr. — went by the name of U2 Minus 1.

Gotta say, Bruce "owned" these songs.
